Why is portion control so important? Over the years, portion sizes have increased. What we eat today not only exceeds the portion sizes of days gone by, but also the increase in fat and calories came with the "supersized" portions. How could we NOT be an increasingly overweight society? There are several wonderful articles online that address portion control. I will link some here: AARP CDC Mayo Clinic Prevention They all have a common theme - we've got to get a handle on the size of portions we consume. The question is how. Are your portions out of whack? Or maybe you don't realize it.... if you read any of those article links above, you'd know. There ARE non-surgical solutions that will help you with portion control. What if I told you that portion control can be made simple? I am a bit biased here, but as great as the plates are, you simply cannot take a plate everywhere you go and expect to be fed from one. I absolutely LOVE this particular stir fry restaurant in town. I get (no shocker here) their large portion with my selections of items..... typically I can eat nearly all of the large portion, and "snack" on the rest of it throughout the day. After taking FORM, I ate 1/3 of that portion. I had lunch at work for the next two days - each day eating 1/3 of that stir fry - feeling completely satisfied! Hi Wonderful Team!

I do have some great news to report with my results with FORM and some suggestion on how to take form!

First my results: I started FORM on Sept 15^th. I won’t mention my weight right now J but I have lost 15pds. However, I did need to make a few changes. REMEMBER, don’t form your ways to FORM, let FORM form to your eating patterns!!!

The first two-three days I took FORM as suggested on the bottle. Two capsules before lunch and dinner, my biggest eating times! It did help to reduce my appetite however; I found I was still hunger during my snacking times. I then decided to take FORM at 4:00pm (two capsules) and then at 7:30pm (two capsules)- IT WAS A PERFECT!!! It took a few times to find what worked for ME. I still make changes based on my daily activities too!

Now, on a side note…my first few days my bowel movements did increase and the texture. I did have some bloating too. With my background, I believe that the bloating came from how I normally ate vs. listening to my body saying “I’m Full.” And because the FORM can also help regulate bowel movements it told me that I really wasn’t as regular as I thought. J

When I changed from the four capsules before meals to my snacking hours, I noticed I became a bit irregular…the FORM didn’t have anything to push thru- therefore it did take a day or two to get ‘normal’ again.

FORM and FIXX SUGGESTIONS:

1. If you snack all day and don’t sit down for a meal try this….

a. 1 at 9am, 1 at 11am, 1 at 1pm, 1 at 3pm, 1 at 5pm and perhaps the last at 7pm

2. If you find your bowels over working decrease the FORM by amount by ½

a. I.e., instead of taking 6 a day try 3

3. Bloating

a. Take one capsule before the meal or,

b. Take the capsule during you SNACKING hour, or

c. Most important pick the right things to eat during your meals

i. Grease, fast food, sugars WILL ALWAYS increase bloating and create bowel irregularities.

4. I love FIXX however, I found I couldn’t take it all in one sitting.

a. I sip it all day long. I found a thermos to keep in chilled or when I feel the need to eat -because it’s habit I take a sip of FIXX

Results of Clinical Testing of FORM™

This clinical trial was designed to define its clinical efficacy and safety. From December 2007 through February 2008, thirty participants were evaluated at four clinical sites located at physician-managed medical weight loss clinics. Each enrollee signed an informed consent and was provided with ninety 750mg capsules our product. Participants were instructed to take as directed and return weekly for weigh-ins, consultation and to answer study questionnaires. Information was collected weekly for four weeks from each person regarding:

• Certain personal information
• Diet and eating habits and behaviors
• Utilization
• Effectiveness
• Hunger status
• Meal portion sizes
• Any associated side effects or adverse events

The findings are summarized below:*

Additional information was also analyzed as below:*

In this study, participants were asked to rate their responses from our product's effects at each of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our product generated a sensation of fullness or early satiety 94.1% of the time. In 5.9% of meals, patients described that "No Effect" was noted.

One of the most important findings of this or any clinical study is the determination of side effects and the recording of any study-related adverse events. Total incidence of occurrence of all study related side effects equaled 3.6%

Of importance, no adverse events were reported during the study. Slight burping for a few minutes as the capsules dissolved (within 10 minutes of ingestion) was the most common side effect reported. Occasionally, these burps were accompanied with a mild taste that lasted a few minutes.

The ability to assist participants in losing weight was also measured. Participants lost an average of 1.9 pounds per week, with an average weight loss of 7.6 pounds over the 4-week study.

Most weight management experts agree that if weight is lost too rapidly it will generally not be sustainable. Therefore, most recommend that people lose weight more slowly - generally in the range of 1 to 2 pounds per week so that the weight that comes off can stay off. Our product is designed to help people lose weight sensibly and progressively without feeling hungry or deprived in the process.

Summary:
We are very encouraged by these results. None of the investigators or any patients has any relationship with or financial interests in the Company or the technology. Both the independent investigators and the study participants volunteered to undertake the study without payments or promises of any kind.

The findings of this study, while promising, are by no means conclusive. Larger controlled trials are indicated. We are encouraged and intend to pursue larger studies in the future to learn more about the role as a novel hunger management tool.*
